Shopify’s basic plan starts at $29/month, while a custom domain is $14/year. Joining isn’t free but you can take a 14-day free trial to test it out as well as some apps you may need in the future. These additional apps are usually free but there are also premium versions or paid apps. Shopify also charges transaction fees if you use third party payment gateways outside of Shopify Payments. Shopify issues and sets up an SSL certificate for every store so you won’t need to worry about it.
