LeatherUp is a retail company that was founded in 1999. The company started as an affordable leather jackets store but has since expanded its offerings to include motorcycle and fashion products.
The company has seen tremendous growth in recent years, with a customer base of over 1 million people and a catalog of over 200,000 products. They attribute this success to their dedication to providing high-quality products at competitive prices.
Project Objective
The goal of this project is to help LeatherUp migrate their store to Shopify Plus and to design a fresh new look that fits their brand and the exponential growth of their product base.
As part of our work with LeatherUp, we were tasked with creating both a new brand and an entirely new store for their e-commerce presence. We worked closely with the team at LeatherUp to make sure that the brand was a perfect reflection of their values and vision for the future. LeatherUp is a thriving company that provides high-quality motorcycle and fashion products to millions of consumers worldwide. They have grown exponentially over the last few years, and they are now looking to migrate their store to Shopify Plus. To accompany this growth, they wanted a complete redesign of their entire online presence.
The Challenges
Migrating the Site
One of the biggest challenges we faced during our time working with LeatherUp was migrating their entire product and customer base to Shopify Plus. This is always a challenge when it comes to moving a large store. However, we were able to work through the issues with minimal impact on their business.
The Redesign

Homepage
The LeatherUp homepage is a powerful tool for ecommerce, but it wasn't always that way.
When we got started, their old homepage was cluttered with text and links, which made it hard to find the products you were looking for. The result? Visitors clicked away without buying anything.
So we took a fresh look at their website and found ways to improve their home page experience so that visitors could quickly find what they wanted and get out of there—with a smile on their faces!
We redesigned the site with a focus on punchy graphics, top collections, all categories and best-selling products. We also added a sticky header and announcement banner that highlights free shipping, the return guarantee and 3.5 million users since 1999!

We connected them with a custom ERP system that integrates seamlessly with the custom website we built. We made sure that the system was easy to use and that it met all of their needs. In addition, we trained them on how to use the system so they could manage their inventory themselves.
